Wings of Hope Volunteers
Every volunteer has a different motivation for why they serve. Wings of Hope volunteers are key members of our team, whether their role is helping patients, working in the office or assisting at a special event. Explore our volunteer opportunities below to find the right match for you.
Our volunteer opportunities
Community Outreach Volunteers
Community outreach volunteers help increase Wings of Hopes presence in the community by representing us at various community meetings and events. They may visit physician offices and local residential care facilities to drop off materials and offer educational instruction programs from Wings of Hope and partnered hospice or senior care facility staff.

Office Volunteer
Our office volunteers support our mission through filing, organizing materials, preparing mailings and helping with general office work. A commitment of one to two hours per week is requested, and office hours are Monday to Friday,
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Volunteers can also be “on-call” for special projects. Office experience preferred. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old or have adult supervision.

Video Biographer
Wings of Hope offers a unique service to record and produce a life history of our hospice patients. This includes recording an interview, collecting information and photos and then editing and producing a DVD or tape for the family to have as a keepsake. The volunteer must have their own equipment: digital camera, editing program, computer and method of transportation.

Works of Hope Art Program
Help us bring joy to our hospice patients through the gift of art! Wings of Hope invites individuals from our local communities to create and/or donate existing artwork that will be distributed to hospice patients in homes and nursing facilities in the San Antonio area.
